CEO Morrison Honored for 50 Years of Service

On August 12, Richard Morrison, President/CEO of MFG, was celebrated for 50 years of leadership and service at a gala gathering of 170 industry leaders, colleagues, teammates, and close family at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio.

Tributes and honorary awards were presented to him by composites industry leaders including customers, suppliers and industry associations. Also recognizing him were community and government leaders, acknowledging contributions to Ashtabula County where MFG is headquartered and other communities where MFG has operations.

Owens Corning Named 2018 Supplier of the Year

Owens Corning was honored as the 2018 Supplier of the Year at MFG’s 23rd annual Supplier Recognition Day. 

The event kicked off with a presentation of MFG business updates by VP Keith Bihary, VP Alec Raffa and Corporate Director of Purchasing Herb Griffith.

MFG Promotions

Alec Raffa was recently promoted to vice president of sales for MFG’s High Pressure Molding entities.  

He joined the company in 1990 after completing a BA in marketing and communications from Youngstown State University. His first assignment was in sales for MFG Tray. From 2001-06 he was plant manager and later general manager of MFG CSC, overseeing the consolidation of MFG Premier Molding into MFG CSC. He then joined the corporate sales team.

Thanks to her quick-thinking and well-trained teammates, Alma Davis is back on the job at MFG South Dakota after a frightening close call.

Toward the end of her 5:00pm shift, she felt something was wrong when a cough that she’d been nursing got much worse. That’s when she yelled for teammate Annabelle Buffington. “I told her to call ‘SAFETY’ three times, and then I laid down. I remember nothing after that,” Davis said.
