Company Adds Engineering Depth

  • 1 / 1

MFG Wind has undergone a number of changes recently in response to new orders, market conditions and anticipated growth. These changes enhance the company’s ability to provide strong value-add engineering support and manufacturing improvements.

Dan Chips has been promoted to wind energy champion. He has served as director of wind energy engineering since 2010. Dan’s new responsibilities include customer management, program management, master service agreements for MFG’s service business, and new business development. He reports to SVP David Giovannini.

The MFG Wind team has been expanded to include two new positions. Rich LaFountain has been appointed director of wind technologies, responsible for advancing the capabilities of the four entities that manufacture wind products.

New to MFG is Mark DeBernardo, director of wind energy engineering, who will be responsible for customer engineering support.

“This new team configuration is a powerful compliment of engineering talent that we can deploy to any project at any of our wind entities,” according to David Giovannini, SVP of MFG Wind. “This level of support and agility enables fast response to both challenges and opportunities, an essential ingredient to lasting customer satisfaction and business growth”.
