  • 1 / 1

MFG’s health, safety and environmental director, Perry Bennett was selected as 2016 Outstanding Volunteer by the American Composites Manufacturing Association. He was cited for being an invaluable member of the ACMA Government Affairs Committee since 1995. Among his contributions was achieving a workable Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) standard for the industry. He is a frequent presenter of educational seminars at ACMA conferences on topics that impact the safety and health of composite workers.

Perry said, “When it comes to ACMA regulatory issues, clarity gives ACMA members a competitive advantage and allows the industry to remain vital. I have truly enjoyed working with my friends and colleagues at ACMA the last 20 years. I believe that friendships forged during times of adversity are the strongest.”

He added, “I want to thank Richard Morrison, MFG President/CEO for his support, without which I would not have had the time or the funding to contribute to these important efforts in ACMA.“

Perry began his career in the pulp and paper industry, first as a research chemist for Hammermill Paper Company and later as a research associate for International Paper Company. He also served numerous small manufacturing businesses as an environmental consultant before joining MFG in 1995. He is a Registered Environmental Manager and Certified Environmental Auditor with the National Registry of Environmental Professionals.
