In conjunction with expanding the Vacuum Infusion Processing (VIM) capability at MFG Alabama, 15 teammates recently completed a 3-month internal training program to become accredited Certified Composites Technicians (CCT).

Leading the classes was Alan Fletcher, sales and project manager for MFG Alabama, along with a few of MFG’s key suppliers. Teammates have taken the test administered by the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) and are awaiting results. Once certified as a CCT, they must recertify their credentials on a three-year cycle.

The ACMA’s Certified Composites Technician (CCT) program is the industry’s gold standard for composites training. It was designed to raise industry standards, elevate production performance, upgrade knowledge and skill of individuals, and designate professionals with demonstrated expertise.

MFG and MFG Research are two of only 187 molders, OEMs and suppliers in the US with at least one CCT on staff.
